Best shinobi element

Firing a bolt of Lightning requires a pathway of connected electrons, this lines it up all in one quick place and the lightning takes that path, now the user of the Lightning technique doesn't do this, but its something lightning does, something it has to do for it to work. The user of a lightning jutsu just fires the lightning and it goes straight since your hand becomes the base of the first electron. However Wind can do wonders to this line of electrons, blowing them out of the way can give lightning one hell of a time trying to form, sending bolts in several directions but never getting near the wind user.

Earth is the best in my opinion. Its abundant so you would never have to worry about how to form your attacks or defenses(Unless, of course, you're on water. Then you're kinda screwed). Earth is also a very versatile element. You can attack, defend, hide with it, etc. It is also strong against water which is a common Element. It gets beaten by Lightning, though which isn't very common.

I Agree with most of your Points, however Earth takes a lot to move it, your using a lot more chakra for a decent defense/offense while lightning/wind/water costs a lot less, a single water needle can kill a person or a lightning bolt, or some wind that is supercharged like Temari's, however Earth would require something to crush, capture or bury them, all of which would probably take more chakra

Very true Yun. I would also think that it would take more since you're trying to move something that is usually stationary. I would still choose it over some of the other Elements, since it's easier to work with than other Elements like Fire or Wind, which all, basically, do the same thing. Now about Lightning beating Earth, Chuy. Lightning, apparently, "scorches the earth" and makes it crumble. It was one of tougher things I had to grasp when I first got into Naruto too. My theory is that the makers of the show felt that Earth was the absolute defense and that it would take something with a lot of force to bring it down. Lightning has that force, as it can move up 93,000 miles per second(rl). Just a theory, though.

I would have to say water because water can be manipulated easily, can get through small openings, and it can be used for great amounts of destruction depending on what jutsu is used like water dragon or a tsunami strike. It also can greatly put out fire, drown people, and can flood areas too.

Fire is strong against Wind, but weak against Water
Wind is strong against Lightning, but weak against Fire
Lightning is strong against Earth, but weak against Wind
Earth is strong against Water, but weak against Lightning
Water is strong against Fire, but weak against Earth

I say water is the best because it's everywhere and it can change form.

Water baby!!!!! Like others have said, it can move almost any where and form almost any thing. Plus water can be turned into mist and used invisabley.
